Breaking Bread Ministries
Breaking Bread is a non-profit organization focused on hospitality to individuals and families, who are seniors, hungry, unhoused, and/or without resources. Each Wednesday, volunteers prepare, serve, and deliver home-cooked meals to about 180 guests. Our meals are nutritious, delicious, and prepared with love.
Following dinner, guests are able to receive meals to go, toiletries, and some limited free medical services, such as blood pressure, diabetes, and hypertension checks. There is always an atmosphere of music, karaoke, and occasional live entertainment for our guests each week, enhancing the family dining experience.
Come serve with us! Feel free to join us for a part of the evening or stay for its entirety.
Here are some ways you can serve:
- Assist with food preparation (2pm-4pm)
- Assist with room set-up (2pm-4pm)
- Assist with food packing and delivery (5pm-6pm)
- Assist with serving meals (6pm-7pm)
- Facilitating entertainment/karaoke (6:30pm)
- Assist guests with receiving on-site medical assistance, toiletries, etc.
- Assist with clean-up of kitchen and dining room (7:30pm)
- Listen, laugh and love by interacting with our guests throughout the evening
